Brokenhearted Widows

All Pathways Volunteers- More Work To Be Done

Ride your motorcycle to church this Sunday and help kick start local missions.

This Sunday June 14th, 2015 is National Ride Your Bike to Church Day. In conjunction with this day of two wheeling to your preferred house of worship, Celebration Church in Seymour TN is hosting the 1st annual Benefit “Poker Run” to benefit LIVE-IT. This spring and summer LIVE-IT has record numbers of groups from churches in Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Indiana, and many other states as well as local churches who want to serve widows and orphans when they arrive in Sevier County. They come with open hearts and willing volunteers but frequently no budget to buy the needed materials and equipment to complete the projects they are serving on. Here is an opportunity to have some fun and help fund many needed projects in our community.

If you have a motorcycle or know of someone who has one, we encourage you to “Ride Your Bike To Church” this Sunday and then join us for the Poker Run. Oh and by the way…if you don’t ride you are still welcome to join us for the outdoor worship service, coffee and donuts and lots of great fellowship. Here are the details:

Registration starts at 9:00 am to 10:30 am  (Coffee and donuts and lots of fellowship)                                                                                                    For those bikers who ride to their church service and then join us, registration will be open until 11:15                                                               At 11:30 am the “Poker Run” begins. “A Room For Regen”

Information meetings on the build will be held at the chapel at First Baptist Sevierville, TN. Meetings start at 6:30 to 7:30 pm on the following dates:

Tuesday, December 17, 2013 / Tuesdays, January 7 / 14 / 21 / 28.

(Regen’s Story) In the past months Regen Morris, youngest son of Dan and Tishia Morris, has been in a fight for his life. Thousands have been  “Rootin for Regen” since his diagnosis of anaplastic astrocytoma, an aggressive form of cancer, that has effected the lives of entire Morris family.

Regen Regen in bedRegen and Family

Regen is back home with his family in a hospital bed in their living room. Regen’s room is too small to accommodate his hospital bed and medical equipment necessary for his care. Therefore, Regen’s bed is in the living room where family and friends meet to do life and help with Regen’s care. The cancer cells have been destroyed but in the process so were good cells. Extensive therapy will be required for Regen’s rehabilitation and for a chance at a full recovery.  “Regen Needs A Room” to receive his care in privacy, have room for a place to rest and receive his therapy.

Here is your opportunity to do more than just “Root for Regen”, you can directly impact Regen and his family’s life by volunteering your time or giving financially to this project. Let’s show Regen how much we care, help us build…

2013 Doing Love

To everyone who joined us in 2012 to “love our neighbors” we thank you. We are excited about the vision God has given us for connecting volunteers with neighbor needs in 2013. Coming very soon….

the Exchange @ LIVE-IT Grand Opening

(Pictures below) Seven months after God lead us to this old warehouse in downtown Sevierville, we are about to open our doors officially. This coming Friday the 20th of July we will be having our :ribbon cutting at 11:00 am. We would love to see all of you who can make it. We will be having snacks throughout the day. If you can’t make it for the ribbon cutting just stop by some time throughout the day. We again want to thank all of the volunteers that have invested their time and prayers into this project. We believe this will help LIVE-IT raise much needed funds to continue to do projects throughout the county and other areas where LIVE-IT has projects pending. See you soon…

God did provide…Mary’s House.

Mary lost her home on April 27th to a tornado in a series of unprecedented storms. When we spoke with Mary a month and a half later, she spoke of trusting in the Lord. Many may not understand why a widow who just lost her home and everything in it, and had no insurance, would stand firm in her hope that God would provide for her. On September 2, 2011 Mary walked through the front door of her new house. Over 160 volunteers gave thousands of hours in 7 days to build Mary a new home. Using their hands...God did provide. Enjoy the photos.
