A lift for JJ

We have stepped up our campaign to help JJ (An 8 year old boy who has spina bifida and hydrocephalus) who drags himself up and down stairs to go to and from school. With the cold weather and ice and snow upon us, we believe the community can and will come together to help buy a much needed lift for this boy so he won’t have to pull himself up these freezing steps.. Please click on this link to watch video:  A lift for JJ  Please call me if you have any questions concerning this project:

All Pathways Volunteers- More Work To Be Done

Ride your motorcycle to church this Sunday and help kick start local missions.

This Sunday June 14th, 2015 is National Ride Your Bike to Church Day. In conjunction with this day of two wheeling to your preferred house of worship, Celebration Church in Seymour TN is hosting the 1st annual Benefit “Poker Run” to benefit LIVE-IT. This spring and summer LIVE-IT has record numbers of groups from churches in Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Indiana, and many other states as well as local churches who want to serve widows and orphans when they arrive in Sevier County. They come with open hearts and willing volunteers but frequently no budget to buy the needed materials and equipment to complete the projects they are serving on. Here is an opportunity to have some fun and help fund many needed projects in our community.

If you have a motorcycle or know of someone who has one, we encourage you to “Ride Your Bike To Church” this Sunday and then join us for the Poker Run. Oh and by the way…if you don’t ride you are still welcome to join us for the outdoor worship service, coffee and donuts and lots of great fellowship. Here are the details:

Registration starts at 9:00 am to 10:30 am  (Coffee and donuts and lots of fellowship)                                                                                                    For those bikers who ride to their church service and then join us, registration will be open until 11:15                                                               At 11:30 am the “Poker Run” begins. Colleen Brackins, LIVE-IT’s Volunteer Coordinator

Have you submitted a volunteer application and never received a call to volunteer? Are you a widow or a single mom who needed yard work done (or had some other need)  and “did” receive a call from LIVE-IT telling you we didn’t have enough volunteers to help you? If you answered “Yes” to either of these questions, you have experienced LIVE-IT’s challenge of connecting volunteers in our community to the needs in our community. In other words, you have experienced our lack of volunteer coordination. That’s why it’s with great excitement we announce Colleen Brackins as LIVE-IT’s Volunteer Coordinator. God has prepared Colleen for such a time as this, her  talents in Event Planning, Networking, Connecting, and a concern for her neighbors in her community will undoubtably allow more volunteers to connect with needs in our community. Along with Colleen, her husband Dustin also has a passion for helping others in need. We are very excited about Colleen and Dustin as they work within LIVE-IT to

Using social media to post needs

The numbers are staggering. People are communicating more and more using social media. In these days of reality TV (which really isn’t reality at all). we have decided to bring you the reality of what we see day in and day out. We are going to start posting the evaluations we do so you can see what we see. We also pray this will provide a format to find a project to get involved and “Love Your Neighbor”. Here we go. Horace and his wife need a roof.
